-----------They emailed me and asked that I post this here for all of you ----------------

Greetings from Indiana,

Indianapolis Scottish Highland Games and Festival was Saturday, October 10, 2015.  Clan Thompson had a very good day at the games.
The day started with a visit from the Children's activities committee.  They asked us if we would mind being part of a scavenger hunt they had planned for the games.  The children had to search the grounds for 6 of Nessie's eggs.  They gave us an "egg" to protect.  This added activity in the tent really kept us busy all day (just the way we like it).
There was an unexpected benefit of the added activity at the tent.  We never saw the judges for Best Clan Tent, we were so busy answering questions. To our surprise, we left indy with Best Clan Tent
The good news continues.  Clan member Mary Thompson, wife of Andy Thompson (very active members of the Scottich Society of Indianapolis), is now Lady Mary Elisabeth Thompson.  She was "knighted" by King Robert the Bruce in a ceremony at the close of the games.
We signed up 2 new members, both compete in the games and wore Thompson Hunting.  Brothers Michael (of VA) and Aaron (of IN) Schlueter, a third brother also competes in the games, but wears a Scott kilt (to help keep the peace at home).
