On February 22 in Phoenix Arizona I was the overall winner of the under 190 lbs class in mens heavy athletics . It was a great day , the temp was around 75 degrees and partly cloudy with a slight wind. This was a perfect day to throw. I'll be in New Mexico in May and Alma at the end of May. I hope to see some Thompsons visit me on the field .

Congratulation Lowell! Way to go! Are you attending any games in New England this year?
-
WooHoo :o
Congratulations! Wish we could count on some members for at least Alma......but haven't heard of anyone going. We'll be there in spirit, anyway........and you can promote the endeavor off-field! ;)
Onward!

Hey everybody. I'll be in Alma next competing on sunday with the Open Amateurs. I will be there both days. You guys can call me if you make it there at 719 221 5140 , I'll meet you in the BEER GARDEN. Hope all is well with the Clan . Dont forget about Nationals in Kansas City, mid June...

Hi Lowell!
Glad to see you back on the boards!
Wish we had someone doing the Alma games, but we don't have the membership up there yet. I was hoping someone from IL might be able to cover it, but no such luck. If we aren't holding the AGM at the same time and gas isn't prohibitive next year, maybe Tom and I can make it up there. We lived in Michigan for 25 years so we could justify the trip with visiting friends.......and there's a BEER GARDEN???
Keep us posted on your competitions and either post or send us pictures so we can keep up. Best of luck!
BTW - don't forget to email your ballot for the AGM back to us soon. We need to compile the votes and get the agenda put together (pack the trailer, pre-make meals, find all the clan stuff to pack up, Tom's kilt and accessories, dog stuff........................sigh...............:)
