Title: New England area games for 2016
Post by: Stirling Thompson on June 05, 2016, 08:47:29 AM
I sent out the registration forms for Glasgow Lands and Maine on Saturday and those games will be on Saturday July 16, 2016 at Look Park in Florence, MA and at the Topsham Fairgrounds in Topsham, ME on Saturday August 20, 2016. The Vermont games will be on Saturday August 27, 2016 at the Quechee Polo Grounds in Quechee, VT (no registration just cost of admission).

The biggie this year is the New Hampshire Highland Games and Festival at Loon Mountain Resort in Lincoln, NH from Friday September 16, 2016 through Sunday September 18, 2016, This will be our first time there and is the site of our 2016 AGM. I look forward to meeting lots of the folks i have only known through posts on this forum. If you want to attend you need to book lodgings soon as the area motels/hotels fill up well in advance of the games weekend.

Finally, the last games of the New England season will be held at the Edward Waldo Homestead in Scotland, CT on Sunday October 9, 2016.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate for all the games this year and we'll have good turnouts at all venues and I know a wonderful time will be had by all. See you there!

Maine Games are done for another year! Dottie and I are still in Maine and will head home on Wednesday with a quick turnaround for the resurrected Quechee VT games on Saturday so it may not be till next week before I can get the report and photos posted. I may end up reporting both games at the same time. We took lots of pics so be patient.
