I've been in contact with some folks on my wife's side of the family while working on my family tree and got a great lead I had never thought of and thought I'd share with you all just in case like me you're new to this whole thing.

Check your local/regional library! Many libraries have access to AncestryLibrary.com (Ancestry.com) and HeritageQuest.com (both pay sites for individuals) with the only restriction being that you must use them on-site.

My regional library has the access and I hope to get there today to check it out.
