Title: not cracking open the champange yet......but
Post by: Sis Thompson's oldest on August 06, 2011, 10:11:41 AM
 :o
Just found a Thompson born in Scotland in 1732 on my maternal grandmother (who married a Thompson) father's side (Cox). It appears his father (Cox) married a Clyde from Ireland. The Clyde wife's father married a Jane Thompson  (born in Ireland) and her parents were George Thompson and Jean McLenaghan both from Scotland! And there was jubilation through the land............. of course now I must confirm. Still, it looks like there are Thompsons on both sides of my mother's Family.

Robert W Thompson  (GGGgrandfather) is still a mystery man and the search continues.

Look under enough rocks and you"ll find something...bugs or relatives!

Your cautiously excited Coz,
Sherry
