Our Aussies Visit

Hey all, what a blast we had at Tom's and Mary's Friday.  As you know our Australian Commissioner and his lovely wife Cheryl were visiting.  There were 13 of us, good thing Tom and Mary have a big house!     It was so good to see Ern again, he has such a wonderful sense of humor as does Cheryl.  This was our first meeting with Cheryl but you would never know it, she fit right in with the rest of us misfits.    Mary fed us all lunch and we visited and visited with them, Ern, Cheryl, Harold, Patsy, Fred, Babs, Paula, Jim and Michelle.  Threw the ball for Sally who never got tired of chasing it, and would sit up so pretty and patiently, waiting for someone to pick her ball up and throw it.   Tom grilled bratwurst and hamburgers, Mary had baked beans and apple crisp to go with it for supper, plus a cake with 'Welcome Ern and Cheryl.'  Needless to say we all ate too much as usual.    Fred put on his Grand PooBah hat and we all had to salute him since he is the "Grand PooBah" this year.     What fun it was.........Thanks Tom and Mary for your wonderful hospitality!

While Ern and Cheryl were here, we took a Sunday afternoon and went to Nashville for an afternoon river cruise on the Music City Queen. They had a band, refreshments and a nice, leisurely cruise down to see the skyline of Nashville before returning to port. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the day immensley. A great weekend of family from Friday on ............ thanks everyone for coming and MAKING our weekend!

We had a grand day and a breakfast on Saturday (except for Barbara and John who couldn't join us) before everyone headed back home or on to games in Indiana.

I wish some of the rest of you could start getting together with members more often - it's a lot of fun and doesn't have to be expensive or difficult!

It is a lot of fun getting together y'all, and it's always like a family reunion for us.  We love it!  Mary, why was Lay's Potato Chips in half the pictures???
