Hello everyone,

We will have a Clan Tent at the Central Florida Highland Games again this year.  This is a somewhat large 2-day (Saturday/Sunday) event with good crowds, well-attended games and events, a good vendor turnout, and great music to top it all off.

Main Event Page - http://www.flascot.com/index.htm

Our listing - http://www.flascot.com/clans.htm

Sorry for the late notice, but I just got the official package back around new years and waited to see the Clan Thompson Society listing on the event sight.

Any volunteers to come back this year?  Or first timers looking to warm up with a few days in Florida?

Let me know!

I wish I could be there but I'm trying to keep my pipes from freezing for the foreseeable future! I know you will do us proud and, hopefully, some of the members from the Florida area will be able to help out.

Preparing for the games this weekend - printing literature now!  The weather forecst is warming and clearing more and more as we approach the weekend.  Still time to make it to CENTRAL FLORIDA for the weekend - Saturday high 71 degrees low of 64, Sunday high 70 degrees...

I will be posting pictures throughout the weekend on FaceBook - I will post them on my profile (Duke Thompson, Oviedo FL) so friend me on FaceBook if you like.  Will also try to make sure they get onto the Clan Thompson FaceBook page.

Mary and I were planning to join Duke and friends this weekend, however the doctors came up with an exciting event. I have to go for some testing early Monday AM, there fore I have to prepare this weekend. The preparation requires not eating solid food and drinking plenty of liquids.
On Sunday I get to drink a special wonderful tasting 32oz drink over a 4 hour period to help clean and prepare me for Monday.
Last year they scheduled me to do this on Super Bowl weekend, what a bummer. Pun intended!
Most older people by now have figured out what exciting test I will have on Monday.
SO have a great weekend Duke!

It doesn't improve with ice nor does heating it help. Perhaps if you mixed a large quantity of Scotch it might go down faster - be a shame to waste the mother country finest brew though. Be of good cheer it all comes out in end. :D

Alas , the detailed instructions say no alcohol!

The new stuff does not taste so bad as in the past, mixed with clear light blue gatorade.

Looks terrific! I assume everyone had a great time, Taylor certainly looks like he enjoyed himself! Which one of you is the archer? I used to shoot indoors (bare bow) long ago in the days of my youth but was never really any good.

Glad it went so well - I'm on an 'every 5 year schedule' myself because of a 'blip.' There are worse things!  ;)
