From the January 30, 2010 issue of WORLD magazine:

Scottish Independence Movement - Text of a referendum aimed at winning independence for Scotland in November 2010 will debut today. The governing Scottish National Party says it will publish it's so-called Referendum Bill that will ask Scottish voters later this year if the government should seek to negotiate independence from the United Kingdom.

Interesting!

Sadly this has absolutely no chance of becoming law, as the SNP simply don't have a majority in the Scottish Parliament to pass the bill. The opposition parties have made is quite clear that they will vote this down at every opportunity.

The Referendum will never happen any time soon.

Hello Scott - good to see you posting again!

Sadly, I do realize you're quite right but I think it's important to know what's in the minds and hearts of Scots. While we may live afar off, we are not disinterested or unmindful of the machinations there. It seems as if the Scots must always struggle -

Thanks for the comments ~
