The bad news? There is no key to the universe. The good news? It was never locked.

Well, as usual, we had a grand time at Loch Norman. A few hiccups to begin but then it was pretty cool (and I mean cool!) sailing thereafter........There was a really bad storm on Friday night, so they cancelled the Calling of the Clans and the dinner....better luck next year!

We were at the Loch Norman games this past weekend with Harold and Patsy, Fred, Sherry Anderson (membership secretary) and her husband Robert, and Sharon Hall (treasurer) and her husband Jim. Had LOTS of interest at the table and, with all due modesty, I think we were consistently the busiest table at the games. We we would walk around and look back, there were ALWAYS people at our tent where that wasn't the base elsewhere. It was kind of cool and breezy, but we took turns wearing jackets so that we always had several people wearing (displaying?) their clan t-shirts at any given time. Oh yeah, sold some too!

Saturday was cool in the morning but warmed up later.....I managed to get to most of the 'shopping district' with Fred (didn't find out until we were on our way out that I had missed the Celtic Leather Purse store...DARN!). Fred bought some cookies for us all to share and then it was time for the fellas to start the trek back and forth to the beer tents Wink We had a great crowd on Saturday and were busy all the time. Sharon and Jim had done an excellent job setting up the tent - it really looked nice. We visited with each other and those stopping by....Tom was out front getting the kids in for some candy and their passport stamps most of the weekend. The crowd on Sunday had dropped off quite a bit, but still better than most of the games have been doing. We got a new member - Billy Thompson and a new LIFE member Isabella Lynn Gilmore. She was born to Christopher and Patricia (Bennett) Gilmore on June 2, 2012 and her grandparents, Harold and Patsy Bennett, bought her a life membership to ensure our clan will continue through the younger generations!

We rented a house along with the Andersons and Fred Cash. It works out cheaper than individual motel rooms with a full kitchen and laundry. The house was about 10 miles from the games - closer would have been nice but it wasn't bad. We got there on Friday and broke out the Scotch and the wine, ate sloppy joes and chatted well into the night. DIFFERENT on Saturday and Sunday after being "on" at the games all day........ Sherry and Robert did a pot roast dinner on Saturday and Fred a jambalaya on Sunday. Both nights we settled down for our chat about the day's events and some of our past individual escapades............and both nights ended up in bed by 9:30! Can you tell we're getting old?  :(
