Old member saying "HELLO" again to the clan!
« on: February 18, 2010, 08:03:40 PM »
Hi everyone, and especially to new members.

It's been about a half a year since I've posted anything and I feel like I should reintroduce myself and apologize to the older members for being away so long.

I'm Dan "BOONER" Thompson, originally from Boonville, MO.  I've had that nickname so long some people think it's my real name.  I've got a lot of posts to read to get back up to speed but I did want to let the old members know I'm still alive & well and to say "Hi and welcome" to all those who've joined in the last six months or so.

All the Best,
Booner

Hey all,

I'm thankfull I still have a job, although it is much more demanding than ever before.  But I know so many that are out of work that I can't complain.  My son is in his 2nd semester at college, and shall we say his first semester didn't go to well, so much of my personal time has been spent working with him.  If things don't go well this semester, then I think he has two choices, Air Force or Navy.  He has what I'll call, the "Peter Pan Syndrome",  He doesn't want to grow up.  And I've been working on my house, doing some remodeling so if and when I ever want to sell it, well, maybe I can.

When I sit here and write about what been going on for the last few months I ask myself 'What have I been doing?"

Anyway, I thought I should get more active with my extended family and get caught up on things.

Regards,
Booner

Welcome back Booner.  :)
If college doesn't work out for your son.......I vote for Navy. My Dad and Brother are both Navy men. You can get some great tattoos and stellar job skills. AND the Navy sure slapped my brother in to shape.
Good Luck Man!

NO TATOO"S thank you

I guess I'm old fashioned but he doesn't need any body piercing or tattoo's unless he wants my size 13's up his backside.

Actually, this semester he is doing really well.  But that's one of his downfalls.  He gets a little cocky- forgets what got him there- and then just falls on his face.

Regards, Booner

Hey Booner! Glad to hear you're still in the land of Thompson! Looking forward to visiting with you at some Colorado games this summer. Gonna be a big year for the Clan, don't you think?
