Et Bonjour à vous aussi! J'espère que vous et votre famille sont en bonne santé. (Now, it's been a lot of years since I've used French, so if I've said something awful, it's not what's intended! :-[

You should post your missing ancestors in the genealogy section and see if anyone recognizes them!  Stranger things have happened!

Welcome to the forum - we have all kinds of topics from the sublime to the ridiculous - and need some new energy, so join in!

Bonjour Scott! Welcome to the family! Glad to see I'm not the only one keeping up the "Auld Alliance", I married a French girl too (French Canadian actually)!

Hello Scot i realize old post is old by a year, but hope that you still check in as i just joined and since your from Scotland maybe there is a old connection. My grandmother lived in Edinburgh Scotland her family name was Mary ELLIS 1885-1962 she married Charles C. Thompson 1874-1946 born in London England. Possibly only child, they came on ship to Montreal not sure when and if it was actually Montreal. They lived in Montreal My grandmother Mary Ellis had parents James Ellis b1845 - ? mother Mary Ellis b1856 or 56 - ?
