Just a little reminder that tomorrow is the day for the 23rd Annual Glasgow Lands Scottish Festival at Look Park in Florence, MA, games open at 9:00 am and offer lots of fun for the whole family. Stop by the Clan Thom(p)son tent and say hello. I look forward to reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones.

Somehow this didn't get put on the list at the top of the Forum page. The 23rd Annual Glasgow Lands Scottish Festival will be held this Saturday at Look Park in Florence, MA. Clan Thom(p)son will be there. This will be my first games of the 2016 season so if you're in the neighborhood stop by and say hello!

Ok so the clan tent positions are up at the site, we are at 2-22 and if last years map holds up we will have a decent view of the heavy athletics field and we will be next to the hard and fiddle contest stage.

Best wishes for a revival Stu. It's always sad to lose something like that. Our Pike's Peak games were recently revived after being inactive for a few years. This past event was the third year after restarting and is bigger and better than ever.

I wasn't sure if this was known by everyone, but there is a Jim Thomson School of Piping & Drumming every summer in Flagstaff, AZ. It goes for the entire week leading up to the Arizona Highland Celtic Festival. If anyone is interested, information can be found on the Northern Arizona Celtic Heritage Society's webpage at www.nachs.info Slante!

I didn't place, but wasn't expecting to on my first competition. I did, however, do very well and the comments from the judges were to that effect. I had a blast doing it and look forward to my next competition, which will most likely be at the Celtic Festival in Flagstaff, AZ July 16 & 17.

On a side note: I had my audition for the Las Vegas Pipe Band and passed, so I am now official. Most of the band will also be in Flagstaff for the games and the Jim Thomson School of Piping.
