Good Day!

I had stumbled onto your website off of ancestry.com....I think it's wonderful!  My maiden name is Thompson and we come from Ohio by way of Kentucky and Virginia, although a couple of my great grandfather's brothers moved to Illinois.  The main names in my line are:

Great Grandfather: Joseph S. Thompson b. 1868 - KY
GG Grandfather: Richard Thompson b. 1845 - KY
GGG Grandfather:  Daniel Thompson b. ??? - VA (more than likely)

Glad to see you found us! It's only recently that I've seen our name/URL come up in the posts on Ancestry.com...... so maybe some others will 'stumble' in too!

Welcome to the family - we're a free wheeling bunch who truly treat each other like family. We share ups/downs, the good times and the not-so-good. And, since we have discovered that there are a number of us who are genetically related centuries back in Scotland....we're even MORE family!  :D

Do you have more information on your ancestors? Are you looking for someone in particular that we might be able to help with?

Welcome !
I have many Richrads (28), and many Daniels (7) and too many Josephs. So, do you know any of their wives names ? Or, do you have anu more info on them.
I have some in North Carolina nad Tennesee as well. Also, mostly , in Va.

I have a DANIEL THOMPSDON b 1820 Va.
And I show a Richard Thompson b 1845 Madison Co, Ky. D 13 jan 1884 Ford, Clark, Ky.

I think there is a correalation there, but, I am not sure. Any additional info would help.
