2013 Longs Peak Highland Festival I Estes Park Colorado.
« on: November 04, 2012, 05:20:14 PM »
We started making plans even before the closing of the 2012 games and we are more than excited for this largest festival and games for our part of the country. Bit of disappointing news though. Dr. Durward, founder and chair of these games says only national AGMs get the big tents out front. We got by last year with a "regional" one, like the Campbell's, but we'll be in the big tent next year, bothering the more civilized clans. Should still be a great time though. Hope to see lots of you there.

Don't we wish Parker. I asked about horses on the fairgrounds and they wouldn't go for it, and that was when we were outside. Might be able too swing it in the parade though.

I have a friend who has 5 horses and might like to work it in with a trip to Estes on the Games weekend in 2013.  Would be a lot cheaper than renting for $200/ day per horse.   We'll deal with it as we get closer to the date. Maybe they would let us use the horses for the parade in exchange for some festival tickets?  We'll talk later.  ;)
