Belle Chere is the first place where I ever saw bagpipes used in Rock music- a band called Rare Air- and they're still around. Saw them about 1988 or so. I think Belle Chere was just starting in Asheville about then. Anyway- my two youngest kids were born there. Colld to hear that Bell Chere is still rolling.
